Towing with a lifted truck?
I bought my 02 Sierra 1500 (2wd) with a 6 to 7" lift. It also came with a Class V hitch (heavy duty). Where can I find a drop down hitch? Do I need it to be the exact same length for the lift or can it be bigger, smaller etc?
I am going to be towing a single axle trailer about 3000 miles and I am trying to do as much research as possible. Do I have to get a weight distribution bar as well if I am only towing a trailer with about 3,000 total weight with using this class v hitch?

3000 pounds is fine. The hitch needs to be low enough that the trailer is level when loaded. Just measure the height of the trailer tongue and match the height on your trcuk and measure from the receiver on the trcuk down to get your drop.
