How do I disconnect this removable trailor hitch? ITs on my 94 mercedes but it is not origional from MB?

Any Ideas? I just cant figure it out, I tried pushing down reall hard on the plastic covered handle and pulling it to the side but with no luck...
idontgi.... It is not bolted on. There is a locking mechanism connecting the hitch to the welded connector.
