Anyone know an alternative to the factory manufactured cargo tray/mat?
Hey. I just bought a Honda CRV. I can already see that the carpeting in the rear of the vehicle will be a problem. I am very outdoorsy and most activities I do include mud, dirt, water, sand...you name it--and most of these things hitch a ride with me in my car. Ideally, I would like something that would be cheap ($50>), repel liquids, and catch dirt. I am sure someone else has ran into this problem? Any suggestions of other things to do?
Just go on over to your local auto parts chain (Autozone, O'Reily etc). They should have plenty of mats there. You could also improvise something with a tarp and some duct tape.
If you don't mind going over budget, look at weathertech.com. They are expensive, but all of their products are quality and custom made. If you are that into outdoors activities, it may be worth the extra money. A cargo liner for a 2008 CR-V will cost $109.95. However, it covers just about everything. It has a raised lip and is resistant too water, grease and all sorts of dirt. Also available in 3 colors (black, tan and gray).
